Arthur Joseph Lipton is an independent real estate developer, owner, operator, broker, and consultant with over 47 years of direct, hands-on experience in the real estate industry across New York, Connecticut, Maine, and other U.S. markets.
Throughout his long and accomplished career, Arthur Joseph Lipton has worked for his own account as well as as a management-level partner and consultant, specializing in real estate development, new construction, major renovations, asset repositioning, troubleshooting, and long-term property management. His work reflects deep practical knowledge of the entire real estate lifecycle—from land acquisition and entitlement through leasing, financing, operations, and disposition.
Arthur Joseph Lipton’s New York experience is a cornerstone of his professional background. He has been directly involved in Manhattan multifamily and commercial high-rise construction and property management, as well as light industrial property redevelopment in the South Bronx. As a licensed New York real estate broker for over 45 years (currently inactive), Arthur Joseph Lipton has negotiated, signed, and managed more than 4,000 leases, along with numerous acquisitions, sales, financings, and refinancings for both individual and partnership portfolios.
One of the most significant highlights of Arthur Lipton’s career in New York was serving as a partner with Extell on the development of 50 West 47th Street, New York, a 740,000-square-foot tower in Midtown Manhattan. In this role, Arthur Joseph Lipton acted as the global partner, personally presenting and promoting the project throughout the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and China, working closely with international investors, ownership groups, and professional advisory teams.
Beyond New York, Arthur Lipton has completed multi-hundred-acre suburban land subdivisions, developed single-family residential communities, and managed and improved commercial and residential assets across multiple states. He has worked extensively with architects, civil, mechanical, and structural engineers, real estate attorneys, specialized accountants, contractors, and property management professionals, across both union and non-union environments.
After several years focused on non–real estate business activities, Arthur Joseph Lipton has returned to active development, recently completing successful and profitable projects in Connecticut and continuing multifamily development in Maine for his own account.
